Beehive Insurance Helps Haul Away Hunger

Hauling Away Hunger

Beehive Insurance and the Utah Trucking Association (UTA) teamed up to “Haul Away Hunger” in May, raising $4,310 for the Utah Food Bank. Both companies have a longstanding legacy of community service and involvement, making this partnership a perfect fit.

“We’re not content with simply writing a check and walking away,” said Doug Snow, President of Beehive Insurance. “Together with the Utah Food Bank, we are united in making a tangible impact on the lives of those around us, one meal at a time. We truly want to make a difference and remain committed to Building a Better Community for Utah and beyond.”

The organizations collected donations from employees, customers, partners, and other supporters. The money raised will have a profound impact on combatting hunger in the community.

The Utah Food Bank alleviates hunger for the 289,000 Utahns, including 1 in 9 children, who face food insecurity. Last year alone, they distributed 56.1 million meals to individuals and families in need. The Utah Food Bank stretches every donated dollar to provide $9.04 worth of goods and services. As one of the few food banks in the nation that distributes food free-of-charge to partner agencies, the Utah Food Bank goes above and beyond to support vulnerable populations, particularly children and seniors, through various direct service programs.

The partnership between Beehive Insurance and the Utah Trucking Association was a huge success and is just one example of how businesses can come together to make a tangible difference in the community.
