We are excited to announce that the Utah Manufacturers Association (UMA) Health Plan has broken the 100-group threshold! The UMA Health Plan was started in December of 2015 as a vehicle for Utah based manufacturing companies to offer their employees premium health insurance at more affordable prices. At the time, with Select Health as the insurance company and Beehive Insurance as the master agent, there were only six groups, 110 covered employees, and 235 total members (employees and dependents) that helped launch the program.
It’s worth noting that all six of these groups are still participating in the UMA Health Plan. As of June 1st, 2021, the UMA Health Plan has grown from that small number to 100 groups, 1,707 covered employees, and 4,451 members.
In recognition of this momentous achievement the Utah Manufacturers Association, Select Health, and Beehive Insurance will be hosting a celebration on July 22 at the Murray Park Pavilion!
